UPnP support. Plug and Play devices over your network. Let your computer get notified that your toast is ready! It was introduced for XP, but as far as I have heard, it has not caught on.
Service Description:
Allows UPnP devices to be hosted on this computer.
Consequences of Stopping:
If this service is stopped, any hosted UPnP devices will stop functioning and no additional hosted devices can be added. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start.
